Computex 2025 in Taipei is dominated by a supercharged AI PC narrative, with Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD all pushing next-generation platforms that make 2024’s Copilot+ launch look like a preview. The throughline: AI agents are moving from demos to deployment, and the PC is the primary device for running them.
Qualcomm previewed the Snapdragon X Elite Gen 2 roadmap, with Cristiano Amon highlighting the 75+ TOPS of next-generation NPU performance and expanded Adreno GPU compute for accelerated AI inference. Amon’s keynote emphasised Qualcomm’s role as “the AI infrastructure company for the intelligent edge,” noting that Snapdragon now powers devices from mobile to automotive to PC to XR.
NVIDIA’s Computex presence centred on its GeForce RTX 50 consumer launch execution — the RTX 5090 and 5080 are now widely available, and RTX 5070 Ti and 5070 are generating enormous demand. DLSS 4’s multi-frame generation is delivering genuine 4x framerate improvements in supported titles.
Intel’s Panther Lake and AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ also featured, but Computex 2025 belongs to the AI-native platforms. The PC race has never been more competitive.
