Apple’s “Awe-Dropping” event on September 9 unveiled four new iPhones, and the star of the show is the brand-new iPhone Air. At just 5.64mm thin — thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge — the iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone ever made. It features a 6.5-inch display, the A19 Pro chip, a single 48MP rear camera, and comes in sky blue, black, white, and light gold starting at $999. The iPhone Plus is officially retired.
The iPhone 17 gets a massive upgrade: its first-ever 120Hz ProMotion display and a 48MP ultrawide camera join the 48MP main sensor. Starting at $799, the base model iPhone 17 is now the most feature-complete “standard” iPhone ever. The iPhone 17 Pro arrives at $1,099 with a new rectangular camera bar design spanning the full width of the back, and the Pro Max at $1,199.
All four models run iOS 26 with Liquid Glass design and enhanced Apple Intelligence. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 adds blood pressure monitoring and 5G. AirPods Pro 3 bring world-class ANC and live translation.
Pre-orders open September 12, on sale September 19. The thin phone war has a new champion, and it’s Apple.
