Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand is heading to Old Trafford. Starting from the 2024/25 season, Snapdragon will become Manchester United’s front-of-shirt sponsor — the first new principal shirt partner since TeamViewer, in a deal reported to be worth £60 million per season. The partnership was first teased in summer 2022 and has now been formally confirmed, with the first United kits featuring the Snapdragon logo set to launch in July 2023.
The deal is a major statement for Qualcomm. Snapdragon processors power over 3 billion devices globally, and placing the brand on the front of one of the world’s most-watched football shirts guarantees an unparalleled global audience. The shirt launches will incorporate augmented reality experiences — fans can scan the Snapdragon logo to unlock exclusive Old Trafford content via their phones.
For Manchester United, it’s the beginning of a tech-forward new era. Qualcomm will also advise on planned improvements to mobile connectivity at Old Trafford, enhancing the matchday fan experience for the club’s 1.1 billion global supporters.
