Apple’s “WonderLust” event just delivered the most consequential iPhone lineup in years. The iPhone 15 series marks the end of Lightning — every model now ships with USB-C, three years ahead of the EU mandate that forced the change. For millions of users juggling Android accessories and MacBooks, this is genuinely liberating.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are the showstoppers. Powered by the A17 Pro — Apple’s first 3nm chip — these devices deliver desktop-class GPU performance for the first time on a smartphone. The titanium chassis replaces stainless steel, shaving meaningful weight. And the Action Button, previously exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra, makes its iPhone debut.
The camera story is equally strong: the Pro Max debuts a 5x tetraprism optical zoom (up from 3x), while the standard Pro keeps the 3x but gains new features including 4K 60fps ProRes video recording to external storage. The 48MP main sensor with second-generation photonic engine delivers cleaner, more detailed images across the range.
iPhone 15 starts at $799, Pro at $999, Pro Max at $1,199. The titanium Pro Max is the phone of the year.
