Bambu Lab isn’t slowing down. Hot on the heels of the X1 Carbon’s success, the company has announced the P1S — a fully enclosed, high-speed 3D printer that brings X1-class performance to a more accessible price point. At $699, the P1S targets the rapidly growing community of makers who want multi-material capability and engineering-grade filament support without the full X1 Carbon price tag.
The P1S prints at up to 500mm/s, matches the X1 Carbon’s heated chamber for ASA, PA, and PC materials, and supports the AMS (Automatic Material System) for multi-colour and multi-material prints. The enclosed design handles warping-prone materials reliably — something open-frame printers simply cannot do.
What’s remarkable is the pace of Bambu Lab’s product cadence. In under two years, they’ve launched three distinct products (X1, P1P, P1S) and built an ecosystem that competitors are scrambling to match. Prusa, Creality, and Bambu are now in a genuine three-way race for the desktop 3D printing crown.
For anyone serious about 3D printing in 2023, Bambu Lab has become impossible to ignore.
