CES 2023: The Post-ChatGPT Show – AI Gets Serious and EVs Fill the Floor

CES 2023 – the post-ChatGPT CES where AI stopped being a buzzword.

BMW debuted the i Vision Dee concept – a car with a full-windshield heads-up display and interior screens that could wrap passengers in virtual environments. It was BMW’s most speculative concept in years, and it landed. LG showed off its transparent OLED technology in airport signage and home applications, with see-through screens that looked remarkable in retail environments.

Qualcomm’s automotive presence grew substantially at CES 2023, with expanded Snapdragon Digital Chassis partnerships announced for new EV models. Stellantis, VinFast, and several European automakers detailed their EV roadmaps on the Las Vegas floor, making clear that the automotive show within CES had become as important as the TV hall.

CES 2023 was the first CES in the AI era as consumers now understood it. Every demo was richer for the context, and every claim slightly more credible. ces.tech
