CES 2023 tech event Las Vegas

CES 2023 opens its doors in Las Vegas today, and after a subdued virtual edition during the pandemic years, the world’s biggest consumer electronics show is back in full force. Over 3,200 exhibitors across more than 2.2 million square feet of floor space — the scale is staggering. Here’s what’s turning heads on Day 1.

TVs dominated the main stage: Samsung debuted its 2023 Neo QLED and MicroLED lineup with AI-powered upscaling and a new Quantum HDR 3000X spec. LG showcased its OLED Evo C3 and Z3 series, pushing brightness records further. Sony unveiled the Bravia XR A95K QD-OLED successor.

Qualcomm made its automotive ambitions clear, announcing new Snapdragon Digital Chassis partnerships with major OEMs including GM, BMW, and Renault. The company’s vision of a fully connected, AI-powered car cabin is taking shape rapidly.

AMD dropped the Ryzen 7000 mobile chips for laptops, promising up to 30% generational gains for thin-and-light notebooks. Expect a wave of Ryzen 7045-powered ultrabooks by Q2 2023. CES 2023 is proof that even in a challenging macro environment, innovation never sleeps.
