“The Time Machine” Theme Park Ride Takes Top Honors

PARIS – November 25, 2014 – Ubisoft® is proud to announce that the Rabbids have received another award from the hands of the prestigious TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) for their ride at the Futuroscope: “The Time Machine.”

Rabbids Time Machine

“This is the one of the first times that a video game inspires a relevant immersive experience in a theme park,” said Jean-Julien Baronnet, chief executive officer of Ubisoft Motion Pictures.

“This ride is at the heart of the Ubisoft brand development strategy to entertainment mediums (additional TV series to come and full-feature movies).”

This award follows several others like the Top Com d’Or 2014 (for the best launch communication campaign) and the “European Star Award 2014” for Europe’s Best Dark Ride by the independent industry magazine Firmes & Park.

After the worldwide success of the “Rabbids Invasion” TV show, broadcasted in 28 countries and seen more than 400 million times*, and the announcement of the Rabbids full-featured movie in association with Sony Pictures, Ubisoft Motion Pictures put a step forward in its strategy to develop rides for theme parks.
