Apple just refreshed its entire MacBook Pro lineup with the M4 chip family, and this generation is special: every MacBook Pro now comes with a minimum of 16GB RAM as standard, a direct response to years of criticism about the base model’s memory configuration. The entry-level MacBook Pro is no longer a compromise.
The M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips represent Apple’s latest 3nm generation with improved CPU and GPU cores. The M4 standard chip brings a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU for everyday users. M4 Pro steps up to 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU. M4 Max tops out with a 16-core CPU and 40-core GPU and 400GB/s memory bandwidth for the most demanding creative workloads.
A new addition: all M4 MacBook Pros support Apple Intelligence features, including writing tools, image generation, and the enhanced Siri with on-screen context awareness. The nano-texture display option — previously limited to Pro Display XDR — now comes to the MacBook Pro 14 and 16.
Starting at $1,599 for the 14-inch M4. The best laptop on the planet just got better.
