Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco just delivered its most powerful flagship lineup yet. The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are official — all running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy, a custom-clocked variant that benchmarks faster than any other 8 Gen 2 device on the market.
The S23 Ultra is the headline act: a 6.8-inch QHD+ 120Hz display, 200MP main sensor (Samsung ISOCELL HP2), 12MP ultrawide, and dual telephoto lenses at 3x and 10x optical zoom. The integrated S Pen remains, and One UI 5.1 brings a raft of productivity improvements. With a 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging, endurance is solid.
The base Galaxy S23 starts at $799, while the S23+ is $999 and the Ultra at $1,199. Every model receives an upgraded 50MP front camera and the same Snapdragon muscle. Samsung also announced a four-year OS update commitment, matching Google’s Pixel pledge.
The S23 Ultra is the Android camera king of 2023. Pixel 7 Pro owners, take note.
