MediaTek T750

Integrated 5G modem with Quad-core CPU Platform for Fixed Wireless Access and Mobile Hotspot CPE Devices

The T750 is a highly integrated, 7nm compact chipset design with an integrated 5G radio and quad-core Arm CPU. It’s full-featured with all the essential functions and peripherals for device makers to build high-performance CPE products, such as Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) routers and mobile hotspots (MiFi), in the smallest form factors possible.

The MediaTek T750 platform is a comprehensive chipset including the MT6890 5G-integrated SoC, MT6190 12nm Transceiver, ET, GNSS, and PMICs. This highly integrated platform uses considerably fewer components versus competitor solutions, giving product designers the smallest size and the lowest power consumption.

The T750 platform comes with pre-integrated software drivers for MediaTek Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity solutions that provide reliable whole home or small business coverage for a large number of devices. The two integrated 2.5Gbps (SGMII) gigabit Ethernet interfaces allow a wide range of LAN port configurations for ultra-fast performance for connection to servers, workstations, or high-end gaming devices.

  • For operators, the T750 provides 5G speeds up to an impressive 4.7Gbps right out the box, rivaling or exceeding fixed line services; using already installed cellular infrastructure and avoiding the costs of laying down cables or fiber.
  • For ODMs/OEMs, the T750 reduces development times and costs, giving time-to-market advantages.
  • For consumers, the T750 offers a compact 5G device that they can self-install, avoiding the hassles of lengthy installation times, and freedom to place it anywhere in the property instead of being limited to within reach of a phone or fiber line.

MediaTek MT6890 5G-integrated SoC

The MT6890 SoC features a fully integrated 5G NR FR1 modem, plus a 2GHz quad-core CPU, hardware network router acceleration engine and all peripheral connectivity. The hardware-based network router acceleration engine is designed for multi-Gbps throughput between 5G cellular to Ethernet or Wi-Fi, without CPU involvement. The chip is made using an ultra-efficient 7nm production process and incorporates MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-efficiency enhancements, affording both ultra-low-power operations.

The cellular capabilities include 5G NSA/SA support with 5G-CA 2CC (200MHz in FR1 frequencies), FDD/TDD modes, and future CBRS and C-Bands. Depending on customer requirements, the T750 is capable of dual SIM (DSDS) and 2G-5G operating modes, including 4G LTE with 5CC carrier aggregation.

In addition, the MT6890 integrates 4x PCI-Express 3, for connection to external MediaTek connectivity solutions such as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.x solutions (MT7915 series), one USB 3 port, a GPU and DSI display driver for up to  HD display, plus PCM/SPI interface for RJ11 phone lines.
